Knock on Wood

Today we had rain. Our first in a month of being here and we think the first for several months. During the morning, clouds built up and around lunchtime there was an electrical storm. We had an excellent view from the bedroom window. An hour was spent watching the lightning and listening to the thunder. Then the sky grew darker the wind picked up and it started raining. it lasted for about 10 minutes then blew over. Very exciting.

                                                           The sky grew darker

and darker

Then the rain came.

    1. I know you have been - I often think of you and the Russia folk as sometimes all of this reminds me of moving to Russia - although actually, that was way easier in many ways! I guess I was younger then :-)

  4. Now all you need is a rainbow next time it rains. Thought you may be like a little station lad I met years ago in outback SA who was so excited when it rained as he was 7 years old and had never seen or felt it.

    1. Wow - 7 years, that's really something. Zephyr went bananas and it's only a month since we saw rain. Also re rainbow - have been meaning to say (for Mum) that there was a massive rainbow in the sky on moving day back in Manchester, the day the guys came and packed up our house.
